Launch at Madrona Elementary

Launch offers a preschool program as well as school-age programs which include before and after school care and summer learning.

The preschool program, serving children ages 3–5, is part of the Seattle Preschool Program. Families who would like their preschooler to attend Madrona must apply directly through the City of Seattle’s Seattle Preschool Program central intake office. If you have additional questions, please contact our Madrona program director.

Launch at Madrona has been awarded a Quality Level of Excellence by Early Achievers, Washington State’s quality rating and improvement system for early learning programs.

We provide before and after school programs for children in grades K–5 and full-time enrichment programs during school breaks. We are open Monday through Friday, with morning programs starting at 7:00 a.m. and afternoon programs ending at 6:00 p.m.
Our schedule allows time for nutritious snacks, academic work, outdoor play, and engaging enrichment activities. The school year focuses on building strong teacher-child relationships as well as the child’s academic, emotional, and life skills. We offer each child a safe physical and emotional space to help them develop a grounded and strong sense of self.
Launch teachers collaborate with one another as well as public school teachers to create lesson plans that maximize enrichment learning. We utilize teacher feedback and observations to identify student needs and plan activities with specific learning objectives that support each child while remaining fun and inclusive for everyone.
